YOUR ROLE
The Facilities and Procurement Manager oversees the provision of equipment, material, and services on a timely basis, at quality levels in accordance with business needs and at optimal cost to the Netherlands Commodities business, driving continuous improvement in the process. 

 

Your responsibilities are to:

  • Manage relationships internally & externally with the business to cover the supply of equipment, material, and services (excluding IT) from the time of purchase to invoicing and payment and ensure timely involvement with purchasing
  • Identify and develop needs and requirements for operating equipment, materials, consumables, and acceptable substitutions
  • Assess current material availability; reasonably predicts future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables
  • Develop and improve procedures for purchasing and contract management in line with BV Group guidelines
  • Establish business processes and ensures consistency across the RFP process
  • Evaluate and approves conditions for issuing and awarding bids
  • Resolve grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
  • Maintain and/or implement purchasing and record-keeping systems
  • Lead spend analysis, supplier rationalization, and key supplier negotiations
  • Review of existing contracts to identify key sourcing options and appropriate cost-saving opportunities
  • Record, analyze, and report to the business on key areas of spend, highlighting key variances to budgeted performance. Liaise with the business in the implementation of remedial measures to address such
  • Manage the interface with other departments including Accounts Payable, HR, and the operational businesses
  • Communicate with management for approval of purchasing contracts with new vendors/ suppliers/ subcontractors
  • Coordinate with people in different company locations to see if a better price is available in the network 
  • Facilities: responsible for the operation and maintenance of facilities and grounds maintenance, cleaning, removal or disposal of waste materials
  • Facilities: contributes to the development of policy and the professionalization of services
  • Facilities: monitors the budget, estimates financial consequences of (strategic) plans, and takes any necessary actions
  • Facilities: monitoring, analyzing, and reporting contract agreements and adjusting where necessary, by measuring, evaluating, and improving supplier performance
  • Facilities: relationship and stakeholder management by maintaining contact with internal stakeholders and retrieving service needs from the organization

 

What we expect from you
You are analytical, driven, strategic, and creative. You possess a track record of successful relationship management, strong business, and analytical acumen, and experience working with operational teams. You have great communication skills, and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

  • A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration preferred
  • At least three years of experience in a related field required
  • Facility experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
  • Understanding of business and management principles
