SALES EXECUTIVE / ACCOUNT MANAGER CHEMICALS AND GASES

 

THE FUNCTION
As a Sales Executive / Account Manager one of your primary responsibilities is to further develop our market position within North-
West Europe in the chemical and gas market. In this context you strengthen cooperation with existing customers and you proactively approach new customers for services related to quantity and quality inspections. You achieve long term results by winning tenders for large contracts in which a project-based approach is important. Additionally you keep an eye on developments in the various markets in order to quickly respond and in order to develop, maintain and manage your Market Sales plans. Your tasks also include but are not limited to:

  • identify and approach new or potential clients and ensure the growth of our market in accordance with objectives and forecast
  • ensuring customer retention and maximizing sales with these customers
  • managing sales and revenue expectations and drawing up long-term agreements

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a real sales tiger to go for that deal. To keep the sales funnel continuously filled, you focus on both long- term
and short-term deals. You can easily switch between various levels within an organization and you manage your relationships in order to achieve your objectives. Also important:

  • at least 5 years of experience in similar sales position
  • knowledge of raw materials and in any case affinity with chemicals and gases
  • you are used to working with a project-based approach and working with marketing business cases
  • you utilize your strategic insight for business development purposes
  • you are a good communicator
  • you can work independently, and you have a great sense of responsibility
  • either Belgium or Rotterdam, the Netherlands, will be your home base, based on your home address, but you are willing to travel
  • you master the Dutch and English language both spoken and written, knowledge of French and/or German is a plus
