Team leader - Inspectors

 

Role Overview:

 

The Team Leader/ Shift Team Leader is an inspector or a laboratory technician responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of an operations team or shift. They ensure efficient workflow, maintain quality standards, and provide leadership and support to the team members.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

•Assign tasks based on nomination requirements and delegate responsibilities to inspection team members based on planification.
•Perform the base professional activity and issue accurate reports.
•Maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained or created during the performance of inspection activities, and ensure they are accessible only to authorized personnel and is not made available or disclosed to unauthorized individuals, entities or processes.
•Monitor team performance and provide guidance, training, and feedback to improve productivity and quality.
•Address any personnel issues or conflicts within the team and take appropriate actions.
•Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
•Ensure adherence to established operations schedules, targets, and quality standards.
•Coordinate the flow of resources to optimize operations processes.
•Maintain accurate records of own activity, operations data, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
•Ensure team members follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
•Perform 2 Minutes for my safety.
•Stop work, if the conditions are unsafe or potentially unsafe and report to management.
•Act with integrity and impartiality, in respect to the Code of Ethics.
•Immediately report to the manager any attempt by interested parties to influence the results of the inspection and any violation of Gafta and Fosfa requirements.
•Not engage in any activity that may conflict with independence of judgment and integrity in relation to their inspection activities.
•Contribute to maintaining the accreditations/ certifications.

 

Qualifications:

 

•Minimum 3 years of experience in inspection /testing of Agri Commodities.
•Strong technical knowledge of Agri processes, equipment, and quality standards.
•Problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team.
•Proficiency in data analysis and report generation.
•Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and quality management systems.
