Join our teams! We are looking for a Surf Engineer to join our team at our site in Saint-Herblain, near Nantes.

 

Join a dynamic team: Within our Technical Department, you will join a specialized team in the review of the design of umbilicals, rigid and flexible subsea pipelines for oil and gas exploitation, and electrical cables for floating wind.

 

Your main missions:

  • Design review: You will examine the design reports of umbilicals, subsea pipelines or electrical cables, as well as their ancillaries (buoy modules, bend restrictors, connectors, etc.).
  • Validation and follow-up of new technology qualification: You will support our clients in their process of developing test programs for the qualification of innovations for subsea pipelines.
  • Audit: You will regularly participate in the in-depth examination of the manufacturing processes of subsea pipelines in various factories and ensure the compliance of the manufacturing methods implemented.
  • Independent calculation: You will perform independent global and/or local analysis calculations of subsea pipelines.
  • Drafting of certificates of conformity: You will draft the certificates of conformity for this equipment, ensuring their compliance with the applicable standards.
  • Technical support: You will provide technical support to our internal network, including operational and commercial teams.

 

Through your participation in large-scale and innovative projects, you will contribute to the adoption of more sustainable maritime technologies and the reduction of the environmental impact of the maritime industry as a whole.

 

Your strengths for success:

  • Training and experience: You are a graduate of an engineering school, with a solid background in mechanics. You have at least 5 years of experience, ideally in the maritime industry, in the fields of energy production, in the design of umbilicals, subsea pipelines or electrical cables.
  • Personal qualities: You demonstrate rigor, a strong team spirit, autonomy, as well as analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Language skills: You have good proficiency in English, allowing you to communicate effectively with our clients, our teams and our international network.
  • You are proficient in computer tools and you have good writing and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of the Portuguese language is an asset.

Knowledge of Flexcom, Orcaflex, Deeplines software is an asset.

Knowledge of the Python programming language is an asset.

You are also willing to travel regularly abroad.
