Job Overview:

 

The Executive, Sustainability Development supports business growth and market expansion of Bureau Veritas' sustainability services across the organization. The role works closely with clients, business development teams, technical experts, and ecosystem partners to identify opportunities, support client discussions, and help translate market needs into suitable sustainability solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Business development and pipeline building

  • Prospect for new clients and partners through networking, participation in industry events and social media channels to build pipeline of new leads and opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ecosystem partners to drive repeat and upsell business.
  • Collaborate with BV teams from other sectors to promote cross-selling through the development of sustainability sales tools and enablers, co-develop sustainability services such as training programs.

 

Client engagement and sales support 

  • Support client discussions to understand business needs and sustainability-related priorities.
  • Work with internal technical teams to help scope projects and develop fit-for-purpose sustainability solutions.
  • Develop sales pitch, quotations, and proposals for internal review and approval by the Director and relevant business leads.
  • Support commercial discussions, contract preparation, and coordination with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate contract closure.
  • Support contract preparation and coordination with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders as required.

 

Internal coordination and commercial support

  • Coordinate with internal teams to support effective handover and mobilization of secured projects.
  • Coordinate with Finance to facilitate timely payments from clients and to vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records of pipeline status, proposals, contracts, and client engagements.
  • Support sales reporting and tracking of business development performance for sustainability services.
  • Support internal teams in the development of signature sustainability offerings and selected go-to-market initiatives.

 

Key Deliverables:

  • Set up regular engagement sessions with priority partners and existing clients to discuss new leads and business opportunities.
  • Optimise resources by collaborating with BV SEA teams on resource sharing, capacity building, role-crossing on projects for bigger wins.
  • Design sustainability sales enablers for BV BDs to cross-sell sustainability services and add value to their client pitch.
  • Contribute to the development of Sales Kits for Sustainability Report Assurance, GHG and carbon-related services, and Sustainable Financing-related services.

 

Job Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in business development, sales, account management, sustainability consulting, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Good understanding of sustainability frameworks, reporting standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD), and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships across organizational levels.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and proposal development.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
  • Exposure to Southeast Asian markets or emerging market business development is an advantage.
