Job Overview:

 

Reporting to the Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Director, the HSSE Manager will provide support and direction to Regional HSSE leaders and their supervisors. The HSSE Manager will assist the HSSE & CSR Director in providing functional leadership to the company programs, establishing Operating Group (OG)-wide strategies, policies, and standards, overseeing OG-wide implementation, auditing conformance, and reporting results to key stakeholders. The HSSE Manager is also responsible for ensuring the appropriate level of HSSE is applied across all OG locations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Advocate for and support the initiatives and goals of the OG.
  2. Network and collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to understand business challenges.
  3. Analyse data, translate trends into actionable insights, and propose data-driven recommendations.
  4. Create OG-wide HSSE solutions and oversee their implementation in alignment with strategies and governance.
  5. Continuously evaluate performance and refine objectives and key results to meet evolving business needs.
  6. Proactively scan the horizon to anticipate and react to global changes, ensuring effective communication across the OG and to key stakeholders.
  7. Support the development of HSSE strategy plans with tactical approaches to ensure operational advantage.
  8. Represent, lead, and mentor the international HSSE network team, ensuring effective resource allocation and utilization.
  9. Create, review, and update company related content and materials for internal and external platforms.
  10. Monitor and coordinate responses to company related queries as required.
  11. Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required.

 

Requirements:

 

  1. Experienced Health, Safety, and/or Environment professional.
  2. Ability to devise HSSE structures to sustain given objectives.
  3. Successful leadership of HSSE functions or assignments at the national or regional level.
  4. Capability to perform crisis and emergency intervention work.
  5. 2-5 years of relevant or supporting HSSE experience.
  6. Proficient in using MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint applications.
  7. Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 9001.
  8. Ability to analyse, interpret, and work with databases, agreements, contracts, legal and technical documents.
  9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with traits of a good leader and collaborative team player, able to work effectively under high pressure.
  10. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, health, management, technical, science, industrial, or graduate fields.
  11. Relevant HSSE certification against international standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent).
