Job Overview: The Operations Executive (Commodities) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Commodities division, ensuring services are delivered in line with client requirements, internal standards, industry best practices, and Group policy directives. This role also acts as the primary liaison for coordination office clients, supporting operational excellence and maintaining strong client relationships.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the Commodities department, ensuring smooth execution and timely service delivery.
  • Serve as the main contact for clients, addressing operational matters and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Handle full coordination and documentation for regional assignments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collect regular client feedback and collaborate with executing offices to implement service improvements.
  • Ensure all operational activities adhere to client instructions, SOPs, and company standards.
  • Identify and escalate any operational irregularities to the Line Manager and inform clients where necessary.
  • Review and approve inspection reports, certificates, and invoices for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain up-to-date client quotation sheets, office quotes, and subcontractor/lab rate records.
  • Assist in business development by meeting with clients and supporting efforts to secure new assignments.

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in any discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Commodities (Agri and Metals and Minerals) inspection and testing within TIC companies or trade operations.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Southeast Asia’s Commodities trade and distribution.
  • Able to perform well under pressure and continuously seek process improvements.
