Projects:
The Innovation Project Lead will be responsible for managing and executing up to four innovation projects, with two in incubation phase, and two in the acceleration phase.
The current targeted projects for this work package are the following
- Incubation projects: Using design thinking to design circular economy solutions
- Organizing the structuring of carbon credit mechanisms for the client's customers
- Acceleration projects: Development and validation of new HVAC solution
- Delivery of a proof of concept of circular economy loop in railway sector
Note: Project allocation may be adjusted based on project evolution and strategic priorities.
Scope of work
For each project, the scope, objectives, planning, budget and key deliverables have already been defined. In this context, the Innovation Project Lead will be in charge of:
- Project management - Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Report project progress, insights, and results to leadership.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Project execution - Execute allocated tasks and activities, including:
- Assessing customer desirability: Conduct market study: identify customers, conduct interviews, analyze market trends
- Identify potential partners
- Initiate collaborative agreements with selected partners
- Ensuring technical feasibility Conducting design thinking workshop
- Analyze regulatory context for specific topics (e.g. carbon finance, waste management...)
- Collect and analyze data, perform preliminary calculations
- Prepare and oversee lab testing
- Prepare and oversee industrial activities for Minimun Viable Product (MVP) development
- Proving market accessibility Perform financial analysis
- Develop business plans
- Ensure timely delivery of milestones and final outcomes
- When appropriate, define the next innovation phase, including project scope, objectives, planning, budget and key deliverables
- Prepare and submit documentation for transitioning to the next innovation phase
Deliverables:
- Updated project dashboard (including planning, budget, progress on deliverables, risks…) on the collaborative tool
- Task tracking updates
- Project-specific deliverables
- Regular presentations to management and other internal and external stakeholders
Duration:
Initially 6 months, with potential extension depending on project outcomes and strategic alignment.
Required Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in innovation project management
- Experience with innovation frameworks and tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Previous experience as an intrapreneur is valued
- Experience in sustainability or railway projects is a plus
