Resident Architect (RA)

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Resident Architect (RA) to provide architectural site supervision services and ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements and statutory regulations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Consultant team, Contractor and relevant stakeholders to oversee architectural works on site, monitor quality and compliance, and support the successful delivery of the project.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and inspect architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress and workmanship of architectural finishes and installations on site.
  • Provide architectural site supervision and technical guidance during construction.
  • Coordinate with Consultants, Contractors and relevant parties to resolve architectural and construction-related issues.
  • Review architectural works for compliance with applicable codes, regulations and project requirements.
  • Attend site meetings, inspections and coordination meetings as required.
  • Monitor and report on defects, non-conformances and rectification works.
  • Assist in reviewing shop drawings, material submissions and construction details from an architectural perspective.
  • Maintain proper site records and prepare site reports when required.
  • Assist the Consultant in ensuring that all architectural works meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support project completion, testing, inspections and handover activities.

 

What the Candidate Should Possess

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture recognized by the Singapore Board of Architects (BOA).
  • Accredited architectural qualification suitable for appointment as a Resident Architect in Singapore.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as an Architect.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supervising construction works of similar nature.
  • Experience in architectural site supervision, construction administration or project delivery.
  • Familiarity with local authority requirements, building regulations and statutory compliance matters.
  • Good understanding of construction methodologies, architectural detailing and building materials.
