Building & Infrastructure Project Manager

Purpose of the position / Overall task:
Implement the strategy and services development plans to achieve the strategic objectives of Building & Infrastructure (B&I) within Bureau Veritas Bulgaria.
Responsibilities and main activities:
- Define and implement the strategy for developing new services within the Building & Infrastructure area at company level, according to the local market specific.
- Monitor continuously the market trends as well as the requirements and needs of customers and identify opportunities in order to develop new services and clients portfolio.
- Identifies factors that hinder the realization of the business development plan and proposes ways to optimize and/or adjust results and forecasts.
- Responsible for the B&I projects from all points of view (commercial, technical, financial), from offer stage until implementation and closing of the projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
- Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report.
- Coordinates the commercial offers, assuring their follow-up and delivery to the clients within the established deadlines.
- Attend meetings and other events that can generate revenue for the company, work in the field with managers or other sales representatives in the company.
- Collaborates closely with Sales & Marketing teams.
- Share the information to the involved stakeholders from the organization (Sales tribe and P&L owners).
- Works together with the other countries from the district to offer assistance in service portfolio development and implementation.
- Maintain up to date the CRM internal systems (Sales Force etc.).
Professional requirements:
- Civil engineering university diploma
- Over 5 years relevant experience in construction Project Management
- Specific licenses/accreditations in Civil Engineering and in Project Management – it is an advantage
- Specific experience (PM) in railway projects is an advantage.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- B2B Sales & BD previous proven experience, innovative, open to try new things
- Proficiency in English is a must.
- Clean driving license.
