Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week.
However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.
Position Summary:
The Laboratory Support Technician II is responsible for supporting the client’s objectives, preparing samples that will be used by panelists in perfume panel studies. Duties include: interfacing with key resources to manage materials and samples, preparing samples, making labels, and communicating across teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for pulling and preparing samples for testing
• Performs sample order fulfillment
• Assists with preparation of samples and instruments for testing (e.g., dilutions, printing labels, uncap/cap specimen tubes, aliquot specimens, prepare racks, worklists, enter/scan specimens and load automated instruments).
• Gathers data from panelists to form technical reports in an accurate manner.
• Learns and updates data systems according to protocols
• Checks and follows daily work plan
• Completes work processes within designated deadlines
• Completes instrument preparation and calibration
• Upkeeps sample inventory
• Evaluates assigned instrumentation and reports maintenance needs
• Maintains instrument logbooks and prepares technical reports if needed
• Organizes and manages workload to meet or exceed laboratory and client expectations.
• Evaluates products submitted for testing for quality / safety issues, with direction from senior staff in a limited scope
• Performs all tasks and procedures in a team environment with daily supervision
• Cleans, organizes and maintains work area, glassware (e.g., refrigerators, freezers, and supply cabinets, as needed).
• Participates in the laboratory inventory program that provides adequate inventories of reagents and supplies.
• Assures the accuracy of tasks by adhering to the laboratory’s Quality Control SOPs.
• Communicates effectively with team members
• Complies with all safety guidelines.
• Assists in administrative aspects of various departmental projects as directed.
• Conducts verbal and written communications with internal and external contacts under N+1 advisement

Education and Experience:
• Degree requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Science
• Degree or equivalent experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
Compensation Range: $22 - $23 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
