Plan Approval Surveyor

Your responsibilities

• Review and validation of drawings of marine constructions and equipment within the limits of the applicable Rules, Regulations and delegations
• Continuous development of the level of technical content and data on which the professional judgement is based
• Attend meetings and workshops directly or indirectly in connection with design review
• Act as focal point for technical matters related to BV Rules & Regulations and national or international Regulations
• Prepare reports, time-sheets, account details and other information for further processing
• Promotes BV portfolio to clients
• Actively participate in the sharing of knowledge and information (Knowledge Management)
• Assist on request in marketing matters and client’s contacts upon request
• Participate in the training of trainees and junior surveyors
• Adhere to the execution of the policy concerning occupational health, safety and welfare
• Perform the job if necessary on customer-level, on request of the customer or when more appropriate

Our requirements

• Degree in electrical & automation with min 3 years of experience in design either in a shipyard, marine consultancy, supplier or Classification Society
• Knowledge of the maritime rules & regulations
• Good communication skills
• Capability to work both in a team and independently
• Fluent in Finnish and English - both in verbal and written
• Experience or qualifications in cybersecurity are considered an advantage
