Senior Drainage/Hydraulic Engineer

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior Drainage/Hydraulic Engineer to lead the design and implementation of complex drainage and hydraulic systems. Licensed Civil Engineer with 10+ years of progressive experience required.

Key Responsibilities

Design drainage systems, stormwater management solutions, and hydraulic infrastructure
Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis (HEC-RAS, SWMM, InfoWorks)
Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams on projects
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and design standards
Mentor junior engineers and review technical work
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings
Coordinate with clients, agencies, and contractors

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Current PE License in Civil Engineering
10+ years as a Licensed Civil Engineer
10+ years as a Drainage/Hydraulic Engineer
Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software and CAD/BIM tools
Strong knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles
Excellent communication and project management skills
Leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Civil Engineering
15+ years of total experience
Experience with sustainable drainage systems (SuDS/LID)
2D/3D modeling software (HEC-2D, TUFLOW)
GIS and data analysis experience
Team management experience
