Job Objective:

 

To optimize sales of Certification services countrywide and shall carry out his/her task independently, with impartiality and confidentiality. He/she shall perform the job in the framework of the BV standards, the Code of Ethics and the BV Group policies

 

Missions:

 

The employee (G/I) will be responsible for managing and developing Certification's sales activities in the country. The Business Developer’s tasks will consist of communicating about the company and its services in general, and more specifically:

  • Act as a privileged interface between the customer and Certification Department
  • Sell and optimize the sale of Certification services,
  • Draw up quotations and negotiate rates
  • Develop customer loyalty and provide regular reports to management on sales activities.

 

 

 

Application requirements

 

Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a commercial field: Marketing, Sales Management, Business Administration, QHSE or any related field, a master’s degree qualification will be an advantage.

 

 

Work Experience:

 

 

  • At least 3 years of demonstrable and successful experience in business development and market networking.
  • Having served within a Multinational Group would be an advantage.

 

 

Required knowledge and skills :

 

  • Excellent command of prospecting, commercial negotiation and sales techniques
  • Good knowledge of local and international certification legislation and standards
  • Having performed or participated in internal audits or certification audits of QSE standards (ISO 26000; ISO 37001; ISO 28000; ISO 39001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025 standard, etc.) would be an advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Practical experience of customer management and a good command of customer relations: handling, processing, complaints, building loyalty, etc.
  • Good skills in the use of specific business development software, in particular Sales Force CRM,
  • Relevant skills and a strong sense of customer service orientation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate a spirit of creativity and a capacity for innovation.
  • Good knowledge of HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) rules and standards
  • Be focused
  • For this position, an excellent command of written and spoken English and French is a fundamental requirement.

Significant activities of the position

 

The day-to-day activities of the incumbent are (non-exhaustively) as follows:

 

  • Participates in the definition and implementation of sales strategy and objectives at entity level.
  • Ensures the implementation of sales actions,
  • Works effectively to optimize the company's sales at entity level.
  • Prospects and find new sources of growth in global sales,
  • Presents services, negotiate contracts and achieve sales targets at entity level.
  • Draws up technical and financial offers (in French/English),
  • Develops and manages a portfolio of customers with an established address book and monitor the achievement of sales targets.
  • Defines corrective actions,
  • Pays particular attention to market development and competitors' offers and proposes appropriate alternatives to the company's offers at Entity level.
  • Regularly monitors and evaluates sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Reports weekly on sales activities to Sales Force to assess the achievement of quantitative and qualitative targets.

 

 

 

Occasional activities

 

  • Interact with BDs from other Entities in the Region with a view to sharing best practices in business development.
  • Coach and help build the capacity of junior BD teams at Bureau Veritas.
