LABORATORY QUALITY MANAGER
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Laboratory Manager and Regional Quality Manager, the Laboratory Quality Manager will oversee the branch quality system necessary to ensure that information generated by the laboratory is in accordance with business needs of the branch and in conformance with the Company's Quality Management System.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Champion ethics at all times.
- Install, apply, develop, and maintain quality system practices.
- Monitor quality activities in the laboratory to determine conformance and drive continual improvement, including but not limited to:

- Calibration and standardization for instrumentation
- Method verification and validation
- Training, proficiency testing, and PTP programs
- Conduct root cause investigations and ensure corrective action is implemented
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI), including turnaround time of sample from receipt, log in, analyses, and reporting
- Provide guidance on procurement of quality critical laboratory supplies
- Primary contact for internal and external quality audits
- Provide leadership for management review and safety committee
- Remain aware of developments in the quality field by reading current technical literature and attending technical meetings.
- Team with inspection operations regarding the interpretation and implementation of the Quality Management System.
- Demonstrate support and adherence to the Company safety policy and procedures, quality policy and procedures, ethics policy, environmental management system, vision and strategy.

- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with quality systems such as ISO 9000 and ISO 17025.
- Communication Skills to include:
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Communicate effectively with applicable internal and external parties
- Develop policies and procedures related to the quality efforts in the laboratory
- Interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, etc.)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, AND REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver’s license required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and with hazardous materials and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of radiation and occasional loud noise levels.
