Bureau Veritas, Namibia is looking for 1 Industry Business Lead for the Industry division. This position is based in Windhoek, Namibia.

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Mechanical Engineering related qualification with a broad understanding of project coordination and management (scheduling, organizational, finance, commercial).  A degree in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage.
  • Experience in Quality and engineering or manufacturing industries with exposure to Operations in an international environment is an advantage
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 is required; exposure to ISO 17020 or ISO 17065 is an advantage.
  • QA/QC experience, Mechanical, Welding Inspector is an advantage,
  • Non-Destructive Testing Experience and Qualification (Minimum Level 1 Magnetic Particle Testing & Penetrant Testing) is an advantage
  • Proficiency in using computer (usual MS suite: Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, MS Project…), experience in writing procedures or reports is an advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, strong relationship building and interpersonal skills

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • To attend meetings with clients as required and validated by the Country Chief Executive
  • To visit clients and potential clients to explore and develop new business opportunities,
  • To assist in preparing proposals, quotations and tenders as requested from the Operations Office and Country Chief Executive

 

  • To support and contribute to achieving the Industry Department’s performance and objectives:
  • o Financial KPI’s:
  • o QHSSE KPI’s, Zero accident,
  • o Operational KPI’s,
  • o Contribute towards business development
  • o Conduct physical inspections and issue reports to client

 

  • Responsibilities include both operational & financial activities of the IND Team, focusing on the project interface with project leaders, project teams, technology, and interface challenges, as well as project cost management, which includes profit and cost sheets monitoring for each project whilst ensuring that payment collections are performed efficiently and timely from a project management point of view.
  • Carry out tasks to maximize daily efficiencies & according to priorities assigned by Country Chief Executive.
  • Highlighting abnormalities in results to the client.
  • Adhering to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policies and instructions.
  • To always maintain customer confidentiality.
  • Conduct Industry related inspections required by the client / Country Chief Executive.
  • The effective delivery of project management and overall CAPEX & OPEX inspection services, including audits, technical assessment, HSE IND activities in the Industry Group.
  • Encompass procedures, methods and process, tools and equipment, as well as planning and coordination of resources, financial monitoring, project’s scope creeping, safe performance of services, to ensure profitable and efficient organization’s project execution
  • Responsible for the safe delivery of the above, ensure the profitable and efficient execution of the inspection activities in compliance with TQR-QHSSE Group Policies.
