YOUR ROLE

The Field Inspection Services department of Bureau Veritas Commodities is responsible for carrying out qualitative and quantitative inspections of commodity cargoes. Due to the wide variety of raw materials and products involved, this role offers a diverse and dynamic working environment, dealing with commodities such as coal, coke, metals and minerals.

As an Inspector, you will perform your duties in a professional, safe and accurate manner while ensuring compliance with all applicable safety, health, environmental and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing inspections and sampling of various commodities, including coal, coke, metals and minerals, on inland and seagoing vessels, at terminals and at power plants.
• Recording and reporting inspection results in accordance with work instructions, company procedures, industry standards and client-specific requirements.
• Working closely with internal departments, including the Laboratory and Customer Service teams, to ensure effective communication and excellent service delivery.

YOUR PROFILE

You have an interest in the port, logistics or transportation industry and combine a strong sense of responsibility with a proactive and results-driven approach. In addition, you bring:

• A clean criminal record/background check.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including night and weekend shifts.
• A customer-focused, professional and service-oriented attitude.
• Technical aptitude and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent command of German and a good working knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
• A valid Category B driving licence.

Die Abteilung Field Inspection Services innerhalb von Bureau Veritas Commodities befasst sich mit qualitativen und quantitativen Frachtinspektionen. Aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Rohstoffe gibt es eine große Vielfalt an Produkte wie Kohle, Koks, Metalle und Mineralien in verschiedenen Formen.

Als Inspektor führen Sie diese Inspektionen auf professionelle und sichere Weise und in Übereinstimmung mit den geltenden Sicherheits-, Gesundheits-, Umwelt- und Qualitätsstandards durch.

Zu Ihren Aufgaben als Inspektor gehören unter anderem:

· Durchführung von Inspektionen und Probenahme für eine Vielzahl von Produkten (Kohle, Koks, Metalle und Mineralien) auf Binnen- und Seeschiffen, Umschlagunternehmen und Kraftwerke

· Berichterstattung über die Ergebnisse von Inspektionen in Übereinstimmung mit Arbeitsanweisungen, Richtlinien, Industrie-/Normstandards, BV-Verfahren und kundenspezifischen Anweisungen

· Klare und regelmäßige Kommunikation zum Zwecke einer guten Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Abteilungen (z.B. Labor und Kundendienst)

WER SIND SIE?

Als Inspektor benötigen Sie Kenntnisse der Hafen- und Transportbranche und haben eine Affinität dazu. Außerdem sind Sie selbstbewusst, leistungsorientiert und verfügen über die richtige Portion Disziplin. Außerdem erwarten wir Folgendes:

· Ein polizeiliches Führungszeugnis

· Bereitschaft zur Arbeit im Schichtdienst, einschließlich Nachtschichten

· Eine kundenorientierte, kaufmännische und professionelle Einstellung

· Technisches Verständnis und analytische Fähigkeiten

· Fließende Deutsch- sowie Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (C1)

· Ein Führerscheins B
