Overview
Position Title: Program Specialist, Consumer Products (Part-time)

Hours Worked: Part-Time: Typically, 16 hours per week, two eight hour days per week.
However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.

• Lead the program change and understand the program requirements.
• Clearly understanding account priorities and initiatives by using project plan to achieve. Regular review of progress internally and have regular review with clients on the progress.
• Handle the program changes in a holistic approach to consider every detail and clarify with Operations if needed, then work with processes and assess the success of implementation
• Ensure program instruction is written in clear, simple and executable manner
• Daily or weekly service delivery monitoring, check daily on problem areas. Active management with lab for resolution
• Regular calls, discussions and meetings with Account Management; Sharing presentations, meeting notes and key messages. Involving Technical Consultants, engagement with the client when necessary.
• Utilize BV systems as tools to monitor program KPIs (e.g. OneSource, Tableau Reporting) and prepare a standardized summary for client upon request.
• Build strong relationships with Operations globally by direct phone calls and engagement.
• Able to design, develop and conduct a success program operationalization training for the network as needed
• Continuously simplifying and improving program documentations.
Skills & Proficiencies:
The individual in this role will sit on-site at a retail client supporting the retailer’s Quality Assurance team, and will be responsible for the following:
• Responsible for managing & tracking products to be tested by Bureau Veritas’ Buffalo NY laboratory, and will be responsible for an annual product review to determine which items are in-scope for testing.
• Responsible for communicating with retailer’s Distribution Centers (DCs) to have products pulled from the distribution centers and sent to the testing lab.
• Responsible for reviewing laboratory test reports and managing testing deviations (failures). Deviations will need to be investigated to determine root cause and may require communication with product vendors, manufacturers, brokers, testing labs, and retail client QA/Merchandising/warehouse stakeholders.
• Attend weekly meetings with the BV lab & retail client
• Manage testing invoice process on a monthly basis
• Other Tasks as needed
Education and Experience:
• Bachelors is required
• Minimum of three years working experience in total – with experience in program management in consumer product testing, quality assurance, process/quality engineering or design for manufacturability
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of the above.
