Pressure Vessel Inspector
Job Description:
- API 510 or ASME Section VIII and CSWIP 3.1 certified or have comprehensive knowledge and experience of 10 years in pressure vessel inspection at refineries or petrochemical plants.
- Capable of performing internal and external inspection of pressure vessels during shutdown and turnaround phases.
- Knows the difference between various forms of corrosion and degradation mechanisms applicable to refinery vessels.
- Shall administer Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) and witness NDE activities.
- Shall witness hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of pressure vessels and interpret results.
- Shall measure wall thickness using UT meters and perform pit depth measurement and defect area sizing.
- Shall of performing welding inspection including fit-up, pre-heat, inter-pass, and post-weld activities.
- Shall review and interpret fabrication drawings, weld maps, and weld symbols.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
- API 510 or ASME Section VIII certification with CSWIP 3.1 (or equivalent knowledge)
- Minimum 10 years of pressure vessel inspection experience
- Hands-on experience in NDE techniques (DPT, MPT, UT)
- Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms and welding inspection
- Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and weld documentation
- Relevant project experience of O&G (project construction, QA/QC & Commissioning) is mandatory
- Candidate must have valid certificates – copy shall be provided along with CV.
