• Certified EDGE Expert (preferred)

Technical knowledge

• Power System Studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Protection Coordination)
• Arc Flash Studies and Risk Assessment
• Electrical Safety Audits & Gap Analysis
• Hazardous Area Classification (IEC 60079 Series)
• Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems (IEC 62305, IEEE 81)
• Thermography and Power Quality Analysis
• Electrical Equipment Inspection (Transformers, MV/LV Panels, Cables, Switchgear)
• ETAP Software / SLD Development & Verification
• Compliance with NFPA, IEC, IEEE standards

Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities

Primary Functions

• Lead and manage Electrical Inspection & Testing activities across all sectors
• Execute Electrical Safety Audits, Power System Studies, Arc Flash and HAC assignments
• Plan, mobilize, and supervise site teams ensuring quality and timely execution
• Develop and review technical reports, study outputs, and engineering recommendations
• Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, NFPA, IEEE, NETA)
• Support business growth through technical engagement and client relationship development
• Coordinate with BD team for proposal preparation and technical inputs

Technical Expertise

Perform and review:

• Electrical Safety Audits & Gap Analysis
• Arc Flash and Protection Coordination Studies
• ETAP Modelling and Power System Simulations
• Hazardous Area Classification and Ex Inspection Support
• Power Quality Analysis & Thermography

Provide risk-based recommendations to improve safety, compliance, and reliability.

Review SLDs, field data, test results, and inspection findings

Business Requirements

• Drive revenue growth of Electrical Inspection services through project execution and client retention
• Support new service lines (Asset Integrity, Electrical Studies, HAC, Testing Services)
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and contract expansion
• Assist in preparing proposals, tenders, and technical clarifications

• Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and decision-making
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Maintain high level of documentation and reporting accuracy
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians

Customer Focus

• Maintain strong relationships with clients across industrial and power sectors
• Deliver practical, actionable, and compliance-driven reports
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through quality, responsiveness, and reliability

HSE Requirements

• Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV HSE Policies, procedures and practices.
• Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/HSE Representative
• Report immediately to HSE Representative any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
• Report immediately to HSE Representative any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
• Reporting all incidents and taking action whenever they see an unsafe act or condition
• Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).
• Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.

Continual Development

• Advance specialization in Arc Flash, ETAP, and HAC certifications
• Development into Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Electrical Asset Integrity
• Contribution to new service development (Motor Testing, PQ, Renewable Energy)
