Laboratory Technician

About the role
We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to support our Metals Processing team. In this role, you will assist with sample preparation and analysis, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of results in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
What you’ll do
- Prepare water and wastewater samples for inorganic testing
- Perform digestions, extractions, and filtration on environmental, food, and soil samples
- Organize and prioritize work to meet turnaround times and hold-time requirements
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality and accuracy
- Prevent cross-contamination and maintain sample integrity
- Complete daily equipment checks (balances, volumetric tools, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Identify routine issues and escalate when needed
- Support daily and weekly lab planning activities
- Follow all health and safety protocols and report any concerns
What you bring
- Diploma in Chemical Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow procedures accurately and consistently
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach

- This is a seasonal position.
This posting is required to meet our seasonal capacity. The salary range for this role is $17.60 to $18.20 .Our salary ranges reflect the range of skills and experience required for the posted position. The final offer amount for this role will depend on geographical region, applicable experience, internal equity, and the skillset of the candidate.
