Purpose of Position

 

  • The job incumbent is responsible for Quality Assurance & Quality Control of the construction works at different stages.
  • The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

Major Responsibilities

 

  • Facilitate problem-solving, as may arise, between MEP Subcontractors during construction.
  • Validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions.
  • Assist in the receipt and review of MEP submittals.
  • Reviewing contractor drawings and installation method statements to ensure they comply with the MEP design plan.
  • Log and post all MEP changes and as-built information on field drawings.
  • Assist in the scoping review, budgeting, and justification of MEP change work order.
  • Assist in the installation of MEP work.
  • Direct, monitor, and control the activities of the MEP Subcontractor.
  • Coordinating and administrating MEP-related materials, systems, and shop drawings.
  • Liaison with Consultant MEP supervisory Engineers, Inspectors, and relevant staff.
  • Undertaking off-site inspections of MEP equipment and materials to ensure compliance with regulations and project suitability.
  • Ensure that MEP Subcontractors provide and adhere to relevant Quality documentation/records.
  • Ensure that MEP Subcontractors adhere to Project safety regulations.
  • Assist in the testing and commissioning of MEP equipment.

Roles & Responsibilities for HSE

 

  • Must comply the BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.                                                                                       
  • To comply company HSE requirements e.g. policies, Procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on HSE as applicable
  • To take care of own health and safety as well as colleagues and others.    
  • Immediate reporting of any shortcomings on HSE i.e. any incident, unsafe work practices / conditions to his/her immediate Line Managers.
  • Sharing opportunities for improvement on HSE aspects.

Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)

  • Maintain timely delivery of inspection reports
  • No of quality checks/inspections carried out
  • Identification and closure of NCRs in time
  • Implementation of QAP/SOPs
  • Ensuring zero customer complaints
  • Compliance of internal and external accreditation guidelines, policies, procedures
  • Internal and external customer service satisfaction (e.g. number of complaints)

 

  • Qualification, Experience & Technical Knowledge

 

        • Degree in mechanical/electrical, and plumbing Engineering or a MEP course with minimum 8 years of experience.

 

  • Skills & Qualities:

 

  • Should be proficient in basic Computer Applications- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Should have fair knowledge in Civil Engineering software packages like Autocad, Revit & any other.
  • Should have good communication skill
  • Should be able to communicate in Hindi, English
