Ø Purpose of Position

 

  • The Civil Project Engineer shall be responsible for supervision, monitoring, and quality control of all civil works to ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.
  • The position performs in line with the Bureau  Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy

         

 

Ø Major Responsibilities

 

  • Day-to-day supervision of civil construction activities
  • Review and approval of civil drawings and method statements
  • Monitoring contractor’s manpower, machinery, and material deployment
  • Ensuring quality control and compliance with specifications
  • Measurement, verification, and certification of executed quantities
  • Coordination with electrical and mechanical teams for interface works
  • Identification and reporting of site issues, risks, and delays
  • Assisting in preparation of progress reports and site documentation

 

 

Ø Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)

 

  • Quality and accuracy of supervision and inspections
  • Compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards
  • Timeliness in issue resolution and reporting
  • Accuracy of measurements and billing support
  • Coordination effectiveness with other disciplines

 

Ø Qualification and Experience & Technical Knowledge

                                                                                    

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in infrastructure / water-related projects
  • Experience in pipelines, RCC structures, pumping stations, and allied works
  • Knowledge of relevant IS codes, specifications, and QA/QC procedures
