Purpose of Position
- The Project Engineer will be responsible for site-level quality monitoring, assurance, and compliance across multiple PEB and civil works, including Fabrication of PEB Elements, Erection of PEB Structure, FOB, 2-Level Air Concourse and general civil works. The role involves stage-wise quality checks, witnessing tests, reviewing documentation and ensuring that all works comply with client specifications, SOPs and approved drawings.
- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.
Major Responsibilities
1. Documentation & Records Management
• Maintain complete documentation for all processes, inspections and material movement.
• Ensure compliance with material traceability requirements.
2. Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)
• Assist in review and implementation of Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).
• Conduct Quality Control checks and maintain records of inspections.
• Support preparation of method statements and technical checklists.
3. Site Supervision & Monitoring
• Supervise assembly, fabrication and erection activities at site as per approved drawings.
• Ensure adherence to approved procedures, specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor foundation, structural and deck slab works.
4. Technical Support & Guidance
• Provide on-ground guidance to contractors and site crew during execution.
• Assist in resolving technical/site-related queries in coordination with stakeholders.
5. Coordination & Communication
• Coordinate with stakeholders (GLC, STUP, Railways, Fabricators) for drawing approvals and execution-related matters.
• Support Project Manager in status reporting and escalation of issues.
Quality Assurance & Testing Duties
• Review and approve all material test certificates (Steel, Concrete, Rebar, Geogrid).
• Witness random third-party lab testing: aggregates, concrete, soil and cube compressive strength.
• Monitor RMC plant process and output for compliance with approved design mix.
• Ensure documentation of pour cards, BBS, FDT/PLT reports, QA/QC checklists, DPRs and TPI reports.
• Highlight abnormal findings and recommend corrective measures.
• Maintain photographic and inspection records for client submission.
Qualification, Experience & Technical Knowledge
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil with minimum 7 years of experience – Experience in PEB Structures is Mandator
- Skills & Qualities:
- Hands-on expertise in PEB Structures.
- Knowledge of RCC, RMC and industrial building construction.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with SOP-driven quality management systems.
- Proactive problem-solving and communication skills. Should have good communication skills.
- Should be able to communicate in Hindi, English, Telugu
