Ø Purpose of Position-

To oversee, manage, and ensure quality, safety, and compliance for all Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, and Fire Protection works at the HCCBPL Lote Parshuram greenfield facility, while coordinating contractors, maintaining documentation, monitoring project costs, and ensuring delivery as per design, schedule, and statutory requirements.

 

Ø Major Responsibilities

  • Monitoring all activities related to Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, & Fire Protection works as per finalized design & drawings.
  • Maintaining Quality of Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, & Fire Protection work at site.
  • Safety related to Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, & Fire Protection works.
  • Maintaining all documents related to site Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, & Fire Protection works.
  • Reconciliation of contractors work & certifying final contractor’s bill.
  • Checking, verifying & certifying contractors RA bills.
  • Preparing COP (Certificate of Payment)
  • Maintaining payment tracker & cash flow record.
  • Raising RED flag if project running cost is exceeding budgeted cost.
  • To coordinate the works of various contractors / sub-contractors / agencies at site & provide a comprehensive coordinated project work.
  • Ensuring strict adherence of all safety protocols by all contractors.
  • Assigning work permit to all contractors.
  • Ensuring Site Supervision of works and materials at every stage.
  • Preparation of snag list by monitoring each & every mechanical activity.
  • Ensure preparation of as-built layout with necessary operational manuals in both soft and hard copy form for all the areas
  • To ensure preparation of As-Built Drawings for- Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, & Fire Protection work incorporating all the changes made at site.
  • Ensuring all works all performed as per required project quality,
  • Highlight deviations if any to Site Manager.
  • Maintaining all documents related to Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, & Fire Protection works.

 

Site Related Responsibilities

  • Over all in-charge of carrying out the above activities related to Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, & Fire Protection works, as per finalized design & drawings.
  • Follow EHS plan day to day basis at site by Contractors / sub-contractors
  • Verify for the contractor’s bills, material requirements, etc.
  • Responsible for all activity related construction projects including, site organization, document organization, safety, quality control, contract management and budgetary management.
  • Daily and Weekly Meeting with each discipline Contractors to review Daily and Weekly Progress at site
  • Review, comment on GFC drawings / specifications and any other documents that may require for the project and to issue to respective discipline contractor.
  • Address any queries arising from the audit teams (from quality, safety and other auditors) and shall ensure completion of the audit points.
  • Check rate analysis, comparison quotes, provide technical recommendation for misc items ordered during the Project progress
  • Issue NCR and timely closure of defects rectification. Generate all quality reports as necessary internal and external.
  • Technically assist HCCB in preparation of snag list.

 

Ø Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs) -

1. Quality & Compliance

  • Adherence to finalized designs, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Zero major quality NCRs; timely closure of all NCRs.

2. Safety Performance

  • 100% compliance with EHS plan and safety protocols.
  • Zero reportable incidents related to Mechanical, Piping, HVAC & Fire Protection works.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Accuracy and timeliness of all technical documents, as‑built drawings, snag lists, and audit responses.

4. Project Cost & Billing Control

  • Timely verification of RA bills and contractor payments.
  • Raising red flags for cost deviations promptly.

5. Coordination & Supervision

  • Effectiveness of coordination with contractors/subcontractors.
  • Timely issue resolution during execution.

 

Ø Qualification, Experience and Technical knowledge-

  • Graduate Engineer in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years’ experience in Project Management including a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a Construction Management Consulting environment and particularly in FMCG /Beverage Industries
  • A minimum of 6 years managing large scale projects or multiple smaller scale projects simultaneously and at different phases, and management of project teams.
  • Advanced attention to detail, particularly in respect to contractual requirements.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear contractual letters, make presentations, chair meetings, make reports and meeting minutes that are clear and understandable.
  • Shall have Experience managing multicultural project teams in an expatriate environment.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English & Hindi are a pre-requisite and regional language will be an added advantage

Technical Skills

  • Graduate Mechanical Engineer.
  • 8+ years’ project management experience, including 6 years in Construction Management Consultancy.
  • Experience with FMCG/Beverage industry projects.
  • Ability to manage large-scale or multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially contractual aspects.

Communication & Coordination

  • Advanced written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write contractual letters, reports, meeting minutes, presentations.
  • Experience managing multicultural teams.
  • Fluency in English & Hindi; regional language preferred.
