Purpose of Position
- Business development for Industry service line for the West region in industrial belts near Tier – II cities in Maharashtra, in coordination with Business Line / Functional Heads as per the strategy defined.
- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy
Major Responsibilities
- Prepares an initial “go-to-market” plan identifying potential Industry Segments, potential customers region wise
- Promotion of IND Services to applicable customer segments (Oil & gas, fabrication, process industry, power plants, etc.), which includes INP, IPC, TC, HSE, NDT, etc.
- Prospect identification, cold calling, visiting customers and RFQ generation and drive sales from new customers.
- Follows up on the plan with Customer calls, makes technical presentations, and liaises with BV Region Industry Sales Managers to explore new markets and customers.
- Liaise between customer and head office technical team for exchange of technical information and follow up entire sales process.
- Manage existing customers from the given territory.
- Regular visit to HO / Regional offices as and when required.
- Support HO sales team for sales assignments, big projects estimations, when required.
- Handle assigned private RFQs / PSU tenders and ensure timely submission of offers.
- Identification, preparation and submission of pre-qualification, expression of interest, offers & tenders. This includes offer and contract review.
- Works closely with Credit Controller and the Operations team on collections, actively engages on a continuous bases on outstanding collection drives.
- Keeps track of the Industry technical events, shows and seminars, advises the organization on participation / visiting in such events.
- Identification, preparation and submission of pre-qualification, expression of interest, offers & tenders. This includes offer and contract review.
- Tender Register and Salesforce entry for new inquiries, bid opening details & contract booking.
- Preparing synopsis, project description & offer self-review of tenders/large proposals.
- Documentation & Preparation of tenders/offers.
- Preparing Contract acknowledgement & ensure its Flex (software) opening.
- Regret Letters
- Tender / Offers / Correspondence letters dispatch & tracking for courier.
- Co-ordinate with other area offices.
- Keep track of bids / offers submitted till its final outcome.
- Offers / Contract Reviews format, Salesforce format & Flex No. opening.
- Keep track of EMD's submitted & follow up for its release.
Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)
- 3 years plan implementation.
- New sales objectives as per budget.
- Maintenance of empaneled / pre-qualification / agency list with clients.
- Creating visibility in the market / market penetration in the given territory.
Qualification and Experience
- Graduate with min. 3-5 years of work experience. Degree / diploma in mechanical, production engineering preferred.
- Person with sales experience in engineering services preferred.
- Work experience in Testing, Inspection, Certification industry preferable
- Work experience / knowledge in QA / QC in fabrication, process industry preferable.
- Work experience / knowledge in health, safety & environment.
- Work experience / knowledge in NDT preferred.
