Long Description 1

Ø Major Responsibilities

 

  • Achieve set objectives (technical, commercial and personal) as per business plan.
  • Review of Risk & Safety services and compliance referring international standards
  • Preparation of tenders including but not limited to scope of work.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders ( clients, manufacturers, Business development team, Areas Managers, Business Line Managers, Project Managers);
  • Inspection and audit for Certification of Onshore/Offshore Installations and Verification of safety critical equipment / systems
  • Carrying out independent analysis, if required.
  • Addressing all the comments on each study document & reports received from company / contractors.
  • Maintaining project schedules and deadlines by follow-up.
  • Co-coordinating with HSE Manager & other BV India staff for all the related works.
  • Doing all the works assigned by HSE Manager.
  • Updating technical capability by reading respective journals, presentations and standards.
  • Performing Fire & Explosion Risk Analysis (FERA)
  • Performing Building Risk Assessment (BRA)
  • F&G Mapping & SIL Classification/ Verification studies.

 

 

The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

Ø Roles & Responsibilities for HSE

  • Must comply the BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.                                                                                       
  • To comply company HSE requirements e.g. policies, Procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on HSE as applicable
  • To take care of own health and safety as well as colleagues and others.    
  • Immediate reporting of any shortcomings on HSE i.e. any incident, unsafe work practices / conditions to his/her immediate Line Managers.
  • Sharing opportunities for improvement on HSE aspects

 

Ø Qualification and Experience

                                                                                    

  • Chemical Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience of Risk & Safety studies, Loss Prevention design, Technical Safety studies
  • Experience of Facilitating Process Safety Workshops e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ALARP, SIMOPS, Constructability, MOPO, BowTie, F&G Mapping etc.
  • Experience of working with DNV PHAST/ SAFETI, Shell FRED, Shell SHEPHERD, ExSILentia, Flaresim, Bow-Tie XP etc.
  • Experience of Oil & Gas Industry including onshore, offshore, petrochemical, terminal, pipeline etc.
