Senior Surveyor

1. Conduct thorough site surveys to classify hazardous areas according to ATEX zoning regulations, identifying potential ignition sources and explosive atmosphere risks.

2. Visually inspect electrical and non-electrical equipment within hazardous areas, verifying ATEX compliance markings, and assessing the condition of safety devices and protective features. 

3. Prepare detailed inspection reports outlining findings, non-compliance issues and supporting documentation with photographs.

4. Review equipment documentation like certificates of conformity and data sheets to ensure compliance with relevant ATEX standards. 

5. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with equipment and installations within explosive atmospheres. 

6. Strong understanding of ATEX directives, IECEx standards, and relevant safety regulations related to explosive atmospheres. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Graduate Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in relevant Field.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of ATEX directives, IECEx standards, and relevant safety regulations related to explosive atmospheres. 

Inspection Skills:

Proficiency in performing detailed inspections of electrical and non-electrical equipment, including visual checks, functional testing, and documentation. 

Hazardous Area Classification:

Ability to accurately classify hazardous areas based on site assessments and industry standards. 

Report Writing:

Excellent written communication skills to produce comprehensive and clear inspection reports. 

Communication Skills:

Effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams to explain complex technical concepts. 

Certification:

Recognized ATEX certification such as IECEx or CompEx, preferably with relevant modules for specific industry sectors.
