Major Responsibilities
- Develop detailed structural designs for solar and wind structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Design and analyses industrial structures, including chimneys, EOT cranes, and conveyor structures, for optimum performance and safety.
- Conduct thorough reviews of topography reports to assess the site conditions for structural design.
- Evaluate hydrology reports to understand water flow patterns and potential impacts on structures.
- Review soil investigation reports to determine foundation design parameters.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with overall project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project development.
- Contribute to the design of efficient drainage systems for projects.
- Participate in road design processes, ensuring alignment with project goals and safety standards.
- Independent preparation of Excel tools for calculation reports.
Qualification and technical knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or master’s degree in structural engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in structural design, with a focus on solar and wind structures and industrial structures.
- Proficient in relevant software for structural analysis and design (e.g. STAAD, FEMAP Nastran, RCDC, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of topography, hydrology, and soil mechanics.
- Experience in reviewing and interpreting geotechnical reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A factory engineer license is preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in steel structure design for renewable power plants, O&G, chimneys, silos, conveyor structures, PEB sheds, chemical plants, etc.
- Should have experience in the design and analysis of EOT cranes, mobile cranes, and tower crane structures.
- Vibration analysis, seismic analysis, and analysis of plates and shell structures
- Analysis and design of pipe rack structures and solar/wind power plant structures and foundations
- Design and analysis of pile foundation and isolated footing.
- Review of the soil report, hydrology report, and topography report for the design of the foundation, road, and drainage within the plant.
- Hands-on experience with software like Ansys, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, RCDC, and AutoCAD
