As we continue to develop Marine & Offshore activities, we are delighted to offer a unique opportunity to join our organisation as Equipments & Material Certification (EMC) Surveyor for Marine & Offshore operations. Position is located within our Rajkot location in India and you will be welcomed in a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

 

Purpose of Position

  • Dedicated to surveys of materials & equipment for ships and offshore units and audits of the manufacturing facilities.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Perform surveys, inspections of materials & equipment for ships and offshore units. Perform audits at the manufacturing sites.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on survey/audit findings and issue certificates.
  • Liaise with manufacturers regarding surveys & audits.
  • Stay abreast of Bureau Veritas (BV) rules, industry developments, regulations, and best practices relevant to marine and offshore materials and equipment.
  • Relative technical working instructions issued from Head Office Marine & Offshore Division, such as procedures, technical or local requirements are to be used as instruction.
  • Refer to Bureau Veritas (BV) Rules, standards, regulations, specifications and relevant approved drawings as technical guidance to perform jobs.
  • Ensures stamps, tools and notebooks are to be used in accordance with the provisions of working instruction.
  • Report to the manager for any claim or complaint received from clients.

 

Qualification and Experience

  • Hold a BE or equivalent in Naval Architecture/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent certification 2-5 years experience.
  • Experience in materials and equipment surveying within the maritime and offshore industry or foundry.
  • In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, classification society requirements, and industry best practices..
  • Previous experience with shipyard, marine & offshore projects or foundry will be considered as an advantage.
  • Ability to acquire new skills/ knowledge.
  • Have good communication skills in English, team spirit and ability to work with minimum supervision.
