Job Title: Project Engineer MEP – Highrise Building
Entity: Bureau Veritas India Pvt Ltd (BVIL)
Location: Bangalore
Reports to (job): Manager – B&I – Bangalore
Ø Purpose of Position
- The job incumbent is responsible for performing of MEP Works and to provide project management services and inspection of the residential, commercial, Industrial projects, equipment, products, installations, materials to determine their conformity with specified requirements (BV rules, International Instruments, National Regulations, etc).
- Carries out tasks independently, with leading the team, and these may be on well identified or isolated assets.
- Major Responsibilities
- Project Management services of MEP of Civil/IND Projects on a continuous basis, as per Structures, Design.
- Adherence to Codes and Standards (Knowledge of Codes and Standards).
- Review of QAP & Quality Manual.
- Inspection of Interior works.
- Testing of MEP equipment like; HT,MV,LT, Lifts, DG set, Transformer, Panels (HT<) and overall electrical work.
- Inspection of LT work along with the security system Integration like fire alarm detection (FAD) and access control system.
- Inspection of mechanical system like; Fire Fighting, Sprinkler, Fire Hydrant, External Hydrant with respect to civil activity.
- Inspection of plumbing line, Hot water CPVC, UPVC, stone ware pipes as per real estate project requirement.
- Preparation of report, scheduling, conducting training to the team, developing various work methodologies
- Review of QAP & Quality Manual
Ø Roles & Responsibilities for HSE
- Must comply the BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.
- To comply company HSE requirements e.g. policies, Procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on HSE as applicable
- To take care of own health and safety as well as colleagues and others.
- Immediate reporting of any shortcomings on HSE i.e. any incident, unsafe work practices / conditions to his/her immediate Line Managers.
- Sharing opportunities for improvement on HSE aspects
- Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)
- On-time completion of works.
- Client relationship – Retention and Growth.
- Compliance of internal and external guidelines, policies, procedures.
- Internal and external customer service satisfaction (e.g. number of complaints)
- Preparation of Technical report without major client complain.
- To adhere Group HSE Guidelines.
- Qualification and Experience
General:
- Graduate Engineer BE/ B.Tech (Electrical /Mechanical) with min.12 years or Diploma with 115 years of relevant experience.
Technical:
- Knowledge PMC & MEP in Highrise building and Interior works are desirable.
- Skills & Qualities:
- Good communication skills verbal, writing and presentation.
- Ability to comprehend technical issues quickly.
Ability to work in a team.
