Ø Purpose of Position

The job incumbent is responsible for ensuring work progress, verifying quantities, quality standards, and financial compliance of construction activities. Verify actual work executed on-site against project BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and contractor invoices. Monitor and report construction progress, quality compliance, and adherence to safety norms. Ensure materials used and workmanship align with technical specifications and approved drawings.

  • Major Responsibilities

 

  • Measure and record quantities of completed work for interim and final payments.
  • Prepare and verify measurement books (MBs) and other site documentation.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and project consultants to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support in cost control, budgeting, and estimating final project costs.
  • Assist in the certification of contractor bills and validate variations or extra claims.
  • Submit detailed inspection reports, photographs, and site status regularly to the head office.
  • Track and escalate deviations, delays, or non-conformities.

  • Must comply the BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.                                                                                       
  • To comply company HSE requirements e.g. policies, Procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on HSE as applicable
  • To take care of own health and safety as well as colleagues and others.    
  • Immediate reporting of any shortcomings on HSE i.e. any incident, unsafe work practices / conditions to his/her immediate Line Managers.
  • Sharing opportunities for improvement on HSE aspects

  • Qualification and Experience

General:

  • Graduate Engineer BE/ B.Tech (Civil) with min. 5 to 6 years or Diploma with 7-8 years of relevant experience.

 

 

 

Technical:

  •  Knowledge of QS will be preferred.
