QA/QC Project Manager – PARIS
POSITION OVERVIEW
You are responsible for ensuring that everything built for the project meets the highest quality and safety standards. In practical terms: you verify that materials are correct, that the construction processes of the FPSO (floating production unit) follow regulations, and that all documentation is complete and compliant with international standards.
KEY MISSIONS
Mission 1: Quality Control of Materials and Equipment
You verify that all materials, components, and equipment used to build the FPSO meet technical specifications and international standards. This includes:
- Inspecting incoming materials from suppliers
- Verifying technical certificates and documentation
- Conducting tests and controls (hardness, resistance, corrosion, etc.)
- Rejecting non-compliant materials and requesting replacements
Mission 2: Oversight of FPSO Construction Processes
You supervise how the floating platform is built. You verify that shipyards and subcontractors follow correct procedures:
- Inspect ongoing work (welding, assembly, installation)
- Verify that construction procedures are followed correctly
- Control documentation for each construction phase
- Identify and resolve non-conformities before they become major issues
Mission 3: Documentation and Regulatory Compliance
You ensure that all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with international regulations (ISO, DNV, API, etc.):
- Create and maintain quality records
- Verify that inspection reports are correct and complete
- Ensure traceability of every component and material
- Coordinate with certification bodies
- Prepare audits and regulatory inspections
