HV Site Manager - Beja

At Bureau Veritas we are recruiting a Site Manager HV for a photovoltaic project in the Ourique, Beja area.

The HV Supervisor is the overall leader responsible for managing and supervising the construction of high-voltage (HV) infrastructure at the site, including substations and transmission lines. This role coordinates supervision activities to ensure that the HV scope is executed according to timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities related to the high voltage infrastructure, including the substation and overhead/underground transmission lines.
• Ensure compliance with the design documentation, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
• Manage the day-to-day interaction with the EPC contractor’s HV teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, safety, and quality of HV works, reporting deviations and proposing corrective actions.
• Support the planning and execution of commissioning activities for HV systems, including interface with the TSO/DSO.
• Collaborate with the QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure best practices are applied during all HV activities.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports and support coordination meetings with the Owner and EPC.

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineer or equivalent technical degree with focus on high voltage systems.
• At least 5 years of experience in the supervision of HV substation and/or transmission line construction.
• In-depth knowledge of IEC standards and Portuguese electrical regulations.
• Experience interfacing with grid operators (TSO/DSO) and understanding of connection procedures.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• HSE training is mandatory.
