PMC Mechanical Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate mechanical construction, installation, and pre-commissioning activities on site.

Ensure all mechanical works are performed in compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and best practices.

Monitor contractor performance and verify the quality and progress of mechanical works.

Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Ensure proper implementation of approved method statements, procedures, and work plans.

Participate in project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking activities.Identify potential risks, technical issues, and interface conflicts; propose and implement solutions.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure smooth execution of mechanical scope.

Support inspection and testing activities, including FAT, SAT, and site inspections where applicable.

Ensure adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.

Assist in punch list tracking, mechanical completion, and handover activities.Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports related to mechanical activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum [15] years of experience in mechanical supervision within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects.

Proven experience in construction and installation of mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, piping systems, static and rotating equipment).

Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, etc.).

Experience working on large-scale EPC or industrial projects.

Familiarity with project planning tools and reporting practices.

Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.Fluency in English (written and spoken).
