As we continue to develop Marine & Offshore activities, we are delighted to offer a unique opportunity to join our Marine & Offshore organisation as Commercial Manager for Türkiye, Caspian Sea and Egypt operations. Position is located within our İstanbul office in Türkiye and you will be welcomed in a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

 

 

About the Role:

 

  • Drive business development and commercial growth across the assigned geographical scope
  • Manage the full commercial cycle, from opportunity identification and proposal preparation to contract negotiation and closing
  • Build and develop relationships with shipowners, ship managers, charterers, shipyards, and other maritime stakeholders
  • Identify business opportunities across a broad range of vessel segments, including bulk carriers, tankers, container vessels, offshore units, and yachts
  • Support class transfer projects, newbuilding activities, dry dockings, retrofit opportunities, and compliance-related services
  • Support the growth of existing client relationships by identifying opportunities to deliver additional value through Bureau Veritas services and solutions
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to support commercial positioning
  • Support clients in navigating evolving maritime challenges, including decarbonization, energy efficiency, alternative fuels, EEXI, CII, and emerging regulatory requirements
  • Represent Bureau Veritas at client meetings, shipyard visits, industry events, and commercial forums
  • Act as a trusted advisor by helping clients address technical, operational, regulatory, and sustainability-related challenges

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience in a commercial, business development, client-facing, or stakeholder management role within maritime, shipping, technical services, classification, or related industries
  • Understanding of classification principles, survey activities, flag requirements, and international maritime regulations such as SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, and ISPS
  • Familiarity with vessel lifecycle activities, including newbuilding, in-service operations, dry docking, retrofit, and compliance processes
  • Ability to manage commercial opportunities, client relationships, and complex stakeholder environments
  • Experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management is considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of decarbonization, sustainability, fuel transition, ESG requirements, and emerging environmental regulations is a plus
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Fluent English; additional languages are considered an asset
  • A collaborative, client-focused, and solution-oriented mindset
