Electrical Engineer Surveyor 

Location: Home based with daily travel to client sites and we aim to minimise travel where possible and offer localised geographical areas.

Package: Starting salary of £38,000 per annum depending on experience, Car Allowance of £4,250pa/Company Car, Fuel Card, OT available, Up to 12% Pension, Health Care, and other Flexible benefits

You could be working with some of the world’s most recognisable brands, helping to ensure compliance, improve safety and boost performance by completing examinations of electrical installations to the latest standards.

Guided by our long serving and experienced engineer surveyors and technical management you will be part of a team that really cares and wants to make the world a safer place. You will use Bureau Veritas’s in house reporting system to create best in class Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR’s). You will be a trusted advisor to high-profile clients and to deliver customer excellence, operating in the professional, friendly, and authoritative manner expected of all client-facing Bureau Veritas surveyors.

Have the experience and skills but not City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification? You can still apply! Our onboarding process can be adapted to include this as part of your extensive training programme.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • To safely carry out high quality examination of designated electrical installations on client premises, in line with agreed schedules
  • To produce and deliver inspection reports using Bureau Veritas’s best in class tools for on-site reporting and immediate client access
  • To act as an advisor to clients, colleagues and external bodies, providing technical and legislative advice where necessary
  • To deliver customer excellence, operating in the professional, friendly and authoritative manner expected of all client-facing Bureau Veritas engineers
  • To adhere with all relevant safety guidance and legislation including the Electricity at work regulations 1989 and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974

 

Candidate requirements include:

  • Minimum City & Guilds Part 1 and 2 electrical installation qualification (Part 3 desirable)
  • 18th Edition regulations
  • Minimum three to five years’ relevant industry experience
  • Current UK driving license
  • C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing (preferred)
  • ATEX/ COMPEX 1-6 (preferred)
