Design Verification Engineer - Pressure Equipment


We are looking for a pressure Design Verification Engineer to join our industry-leading team, working with clients to provide conformity assessment of pressure equipment to the latest PESR / PED requirements.

We are looking for someone that can act as a trusted consultant to our clients, bringing industry insight and regulatory knowledge together with a commitment to deliver service excellence as part of a true partnership approach.


Responsibilities include:

  • To provide conformity assessment of pressure equipment to the latest PESR / PED requirements
  • Perform detailed assessment under supervision of the manufacturer’s design and arrangements using British, European and International Codes & Standards.
  • To build strong relationships with key individuals at all levels within the client organisation
  • To contribute to relevant standards committees and cross-industry groups
  • To identify, pursue and achieve opportunities for commercial growth


Candidate requirements include:

  • Mechanical Engineer with design review experience in PED or ASME piping and pressure vessel systems
  • Understanding of the latest regulations and standards
  • Proven technical understanding of pressure equipment
  • Familiarity with the design requirements for pressure equipment, to the following standards/codes PD5500, ASME VIII Div 1. ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, BS EN 12079, EN 13445.
  • Personal attributes include:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
