Salary: £28,000 per annum + car or car allowance £4250 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Flexible working hours, based on operational needs
Role Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Trainee Sampling Superintendent to join our UK Inspections team. This role involves supervising and/or carrying out and supervising
the inspection, weighing, and sampling of various commodities to pre-defined standards, using appropriate methods. The position is field based with travel across various locations within the UK and Europe, offering flexible working hours to meet operational demands.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the UK Inspections Technical Services Manager, you will be a key member of the UK Inspection team; the main duties and responsibilities of the role are: -
- To carry out and/or supervise the inspection, weighing and sampling of various commodities of the Metals and Minerals division.
- To perform various types of audits within the Metals and Minerals commodity industries.
- Timely production of accurate and detailed reports relating to the work undertaken.
- Close liaison with the UK Inspection coordination team.
- Ensure that company quality systems and Health & Safety protocols are adhered to.
Key Deliverables:
- Provide excellent service for our clients delivering detailed final report covering the scope of works requests.
- Follow set quality key performance indicators.
- Adherence to quality systems and health and safety protocols.
- Adherence to BV absolutes inc. 2 min for my safety.
- Provide insights to the coordination teams of circumstances on sites.
- Process improvement.
- Compliance with driving telematics.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Educated to A level standard (or equivalent experience/qualification).
- Ability to demonstrate building strong relationships either across department or with clients.
- Ability to communicate to a high standard to ensure excellent quality of service.
- Conflict resolution.
- Good problem solver with strong dispute resolution skills.
- Valid passport and full driving licence with not more than 6 points on the license, or having an IN, TT, DG or DR offence, and have at least two years of driving experience (Full Manual UK Driving Licence and European Driving Licence accepted only) Attention to detail.
