Technical Director - Air Quality

Location: Hybrid Working 1-2 days per week in the office Flexible- UK (Ideally London or Manchester)

About the Role

As a Technical Director, you will be viewed as one of the leading experts in the team. You will lead and manage some of the larger and more technically complex projects, including task management of junior team members and financial management. Your focus will be on the most technically challenging parts of assessments, while guiding the wider team through the more formulaic parts.

Who are we looking for?

  • We are looking for someone well established in the air quality/carbon consultancy industry currently working at Principal Consultant or Technical Director Level.
  • Specialists in both monitoring and/or modelling would be considered, as long as you are happy joining the dots between the two.
  • An expert understanding of air quality assessment within the UK, as well as the legislation and guidance that inform it.
  • A thorough understanding of the technicalities of air quality dispersion modelling would be expected (including the use of ADMS, ADMS-Roads and AERMOD). Notable experience in assessment of carbon emissions or net zero action planning would be highly desirable.
  • Evidence of successful management of large multifaceted projects in the air quality field. People management experience would also be desirable.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications. Advanced skills in Excel/VBA/R would be advantageous.
