Our organisation is growing and so we are looking for for an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant to provide strong leadership of the UK Finance Shared Service (SSC) function, covering Accounts Payable, Credit Control and Treasury, through continuous improvement of financial processes and full engagement throughout the business.

 

MAIN DUTIES:

 

  • Build and maintain an effective, efficient and stable Finance Shared Service function capable of providing a quality transactional finance service for all divisions within the UK.
  • Oversee all procedures undertaken by the Finance Shared Service Centre to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Understand end to end processes to identify the root cause of issues and take ownership for driving resolution, including effective stakeholder management.
  • Provide regular communication to all SSC stakeholders on SSC performance by developing and maintaining SSC KPIs and reporting thereon.
  • Lead integration into finance share service function for any divisions not currently covered and for any future acquisitions.
  • Ensure purchase order processing, within the ERP, is embedded throughout the entire business.
  • Provide ongoing governance of the purchase order process by the business and support for business users.
  • To develop and maintain a network of ERP key users and super-users capable of supporting the business and providing ongoing training requirements
  • Lead all future ERP roll outs for acquisitions & upgrades.
  • Provide a quality financial control environment with appropriate financial reviews and reconciliations together with a process for immediate remediation of any issues
  • Ensure the completion of all SSC activities, each month, to meet the requirements of the BV HO reporting timetable.
  • Provide a key contact within finance department for external auditors, internal auditors, BV Group finance, HMRC, banks and internal stakeholders.
  • Champion the cause of accelerated cash generation across the business through resolution of disputed debt and payment terms.
  • Support UK management in the deployment and tracking of optimal back-office organisation and improvement initiatives in support of sustainable growth.
  • Provide support to UK Head of Finance with any ad hoc financial projects.
  • Identify talents and develop people to ensure a sustainable succession plan within the Finance SSC.
  • Oversee the performance management and competency development of direct reports and sub-ordinates).

 

Experience & Skills Required:

 

  • Proven financial management experience
  • Experience of working within a large international group
  • Experience of delivering change and transformation programmes within a shared service centre environment.
  • Leadership/development of a large diverse finance team
  • Effective communicator and influencer, both verbal and written, to peers, business partners and senior managers
  • Advanced excel and experience of group reporting
