About the Role

Working alongside experienced professionals, you will develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required to become a Registered Building Inspector.

You will gain exposure to a wide range of construction projects while learning how to interpret Building Regulations, assess compliance and support clients throughout the construction process.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with Building Regulations plan assessments
  • Attend site inspections alongside qualified Registered Building Inspectors
  • Develop knowledge of Building Regulations and Approved Documents
  • Support the preparation of statutory documentation
  • Record inspection findings and assist in producing reports
  • Liaise with architects, contractors, developers and clients
  • Participate in technical training and development programmes
  • Develop knowledge of the Building Safety Act and RBI competency requirements
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation
  • Support the delivery of a high-quality Building Control service

 

About You

We're seeking technically minded individuals who enjoy problem-solving, are keen to learn and are looking to develop a long-term career within the construction industry.

To apply, you will need one of the following:

  • A minimum of 3 A-Levels at Grade C or above (or equivalent, 80 UCAS points)
  • A Level 3 NVQ qualification in Construction or a related discipline
  • Demonstrable experience in a relevant field, such as:
    • Construction
    • Building Services
    • Fire Safety
    • Engineering
    • Armed Forces/Ex-Military
    • Other technical or compliance-based environments

  • A genuine interest in Building Control and the built environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to learn and apply technical legislation and guidance
  • Full UK driving licence
