Job Description: Business Development / Sales Manager – IPC (Vietnam)
Location: Vietnam
Business Unit: INDUSTRY Power+ (IPC)
Reports to: PL Country Lead
1. Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Development / Sales Manager to drive growth of Industrial Product Certification (IPC) services in Vietnam, focusing on high-growth sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing, electronics, and industrial fabrication.
This role will focus on early project positioning, strategic account development, and value-based selling, particularly in certification domains including:
- Pressure Equipment (ASME, PED)
- Hazardous Area (ATEX, IECEx)
- Electrical & Machinery (CE marking, IEC standards)
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Strategic Business Development (Core Focus)
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in IPC services across Vietnam
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline, focusing on early-stage project engagement (pre-tender)
- Target key sectors:
- Semiconductor (ATP, OSAT, fabs)
- Electronics manufacturing
- Industrial and energy sectors
B. Key Account Management
- Develop and manage relationships with strategic clients, including:
- Multinational manufacturers (e.g., semiconductor & electronics players)
- EPC contractors and fabricators
C. Solution Selling (IPC Focus)
- Promote and position services including:
- ASME, PED certification (pressure equipment)
- ATEX / IECEx (hazardous area / explosion safety)
- CE marking & IEC compliance (machinery & electrical)
- Translate technical requirements into business value (market access, compliance, risk reduction)
- Work closely with technical teams to build competitive, differentiated proposals
D. Market Intelligence & Positioning
- Monitor trends in:
- Vietnam semiconductor investments
- Supply chain localization
- Export-driven compliance requirements
- Identify early-stage projects and investment pipelines
- Track competitor positioning and pricing strategies
3. Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent)
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years in:
- Business Development / Sales
- Industrial services / certification / inspection
Technical Exposure (Preferred)
Strong understanding of at least one of the following:
- ASME / PED (pressure equipment)
- ATEX / IECEx (hazardous area)
- CE marking / IEC standards (machinery, electrical)
Industry Experience
- Semiconductor / electronics manufacturing
- Oil & Gas / industrial fabrication
- Energy / infrastructure
