General Description
Our job performance is within the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, QHSE policy, Codes of Ethics and BV Group’s policies and procedures.
Bureau Veritas Vietnam office is seeking for Welding Inspectors (various positions) for an oil and gas project and looking for experienced professional who keen to join the team and leaves their mark in shaping society and a world of trust.
Tasks – Activities – Responsibilities

Ensure implementation of the Company’s Quality Policies, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies, Procedures and Quality Plans is to comply.

Ensure that Project Quality specially welding to be implemented and complied with Specification, Project Quality Plan, Procedure and National Regulation as well.

Assist and support Snr. Welding Engineer and QA/QC Lead to review and approve Contractor/Vendor’s Welding Qualification Plan/Program and then monitor/witness qualification activities to evaluate weldment’s integrity, including visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and destructive testing (DT).

Overall supervision and ensure that, all welding work and other activities such as Material/Equipment inspection, Qualification, Assembly, Welding, NDT, Dimension, Painting/Coating of onshore fabrication, Load-out & Sea-fastening and offshore installation include HUC campaign that to be complied with latest AFC drawing, approved WPS/PQRs, approved procedure and Specification.

Under direction of QA/QC Lead and QA/QC Manager to manage and support other Inspector on their role and performance (including Contractor Inspectors and Third-Party Inspectors).

Work closely with Contractor and Vendor to maintain the Project welding performance, welding rejection and Welder performance are within the KPI and identify and troubleshoot welding-related issues, such as defects, distortions, and material failures, and propose appropriate solutions or process improvements if any.

Interface, Communicate and Maintain close liaison with other Project Disciplines, Contractor, Vendor, Third Party for all relevant Activities.

Participate in the issue of Site Issue and Non-conformance Report include Disposition or Corrective Action and Preventive Action.

Review and analyze welding documentation and other inspection reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Maintains good relationships with Contractor and Vendor but being strict to achieve the Project objectives.

As a member of QA/QC Team and report directly to QA/QC manager, QA/QC Lead and Chief Inspector as well.
Candidate Profile
Education:
-
Must hold a degree of Engineer in Mechanical/Welding Technology or Equivalent.
-
Familiar with Quality Assurance & Quality Control Systems.
-
Must hold Valid Certificates: Either CSWIP 3.2 and/or AWS-SCWI or Approved equivalent.
-
Hold Certificate such NDT (ISO 9712, ASNT, PCN) and Painting (NACE, BGAS, PROSIO) Certificate are advantage.
Experience:
-
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional working experience in the oil and gas industry, of which ten (10) years of experience relevant to the role and responsibilities such Snr. Welding Inspector, Welding Engineer, QA/QC Inspector., etc.

Involved in at least five (05) WHP/CPP/LQP include Infield Pipelines during Detail Engineering, Vendor/Supplier, Fabrication, Testing, Installation and Pre-commissioning for both Contractors and Clients.
Specific Knowledge:
-
Strong knowledge of material, welding consumable, welding processes, techniques, and equipment.

Sound knowledge in and Conversant with International Codes and Standards such as AWS, ASME, BS EN, API, ASTM, DNV, NACE, ISO., etc.

Experience working with oversea Contractor, Vendor and Supplier are preferred.

Good sense of team spirit leadership, coordination and communication skills in multi-cultural environment.

Good computer skills (PDF, Word, Excel, Power Point)

Good command in English (writing, listening and speaking)
