General Description

 

Provide engineering service and advice to industrial engineering activities; prepare reports regarding reviews of production methods, equipment layout and equipment and material utilization.  Report directly to appointed IND Manager / Deputy Manager as appropriate.

Our job performance is within the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, QHSE policy, Codes of Ethics and BV Group’s policies and procedures.

 

Tasks – Activities – Responsibilities

 

1.General Responsibilities:

    • Follow all the I&F guidance and documentation for the relevant sectors as he/she has the competence level (1, 2, 3).
    • Performs quality inspection (called also surveillance and/or examination) of equipment, product, installation, commissioning witness, etc. to determine their conformity with specified reference requirements (standards, specifications, regulation, etc.).  Depending on the contractual relation, the surveyor may act as a Third Party or Second Party
    • Assist in sale activities, including expansion of the market and technical presentation

 

2. Main Duties:

At the commencement of the inspection / surveillance:

    • Review of inspection assignment documentation (technical aspects, reference documentation, schedule, format of reports, logistics, co-ordination procedure, etc. need for the performance of the inspection / surveillance)
    • Review of Quality Plan and/or relevant procedures or records of the similar previous inspection / surveillance
    • Consult with Supervisor for any technical matters related to the assignment
    • Scheduling of inspection / surveillance

 

During inspection / surveillance:

    • Perform pre-inspection meeting with client to confirm roles and scope of BV intervention, to confirm the report process and clarify any matter required by client in connection with the inspection
    • Execution of inspection according to Quality Plan / appropriate inspection procedures / technique specifications / reference documentations
    • Execution of inspection reporting including treatment of non-conformities (NCRs) and other applicable deliverables
    • Maintaining internal and external communication, always taking into account of customer focus and customer satisfaction
    • Report to Supervisor / Deputy Manager any problem / deputy / complain from the client in time for their assistance
    • Follow up of cost / time control and invoicing as and when required
    • Documentation control and records
    • Ensuring quality of inspection according to BV Quality System
    • Find opportunity for developing other BV services with the clients

 

3. Reporting & Others:

    • Liaise with IND Assistant or Project Assistant as appropriate for inspection schedule, job sheet, reference documents, logistics, etc.
    • Liaise with Supervisor and/or IND Deputy Manager as appropriate for any other technical assistance
    • Prepare T&E for submission to Assistant for review and to appointed Supervisor or Deputy Manager for approval

 

Candidate Profile

 

    • University degree or equivalent
    • 2 - 4 years experience in relevant sector
    • Understanding company’s business activity
    • Understanding company’s organization chart.
    • Well understanding company’s policies such as admin, staff handbook and financial policies.
