Job Description         :         Project Manager (Railway)

Reporting                    :           B&I North Manager

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the development and management of the Project at the assigned project. The project manager is responsible for overseeing all activities of the BV consulting engineering team in the project. He is the main link between BUREAU VERITAS and the customer. The project manager must ensure that the project is carried out in accordance with the signed consulting contract as well as according to BUREAU VERITAS' methodology on project management and supervision. Ensure the project is completed in accordance with the core goals "Safety - Quality - Progress - Efficiency"

• Scope definition, preliminary planning, detailed planning. Evaluate project implementation capacity, guide and check project implementation plan.
• Maintain reasonable coordination between different internal teams at the project (Project Execution Plan, Project Legal, Project Design, Marketing & Sales, Accounting, ...)
• Monitor the progress of the project and report to the Project Owner. In case of detecting delays and conflicting issues in the project, the PM is responsible for organizing, handling and resolving them by coordinating with different parties to ensure that the delay does not affect the progress of project implementation.
• Support to ensure the work is completed on time, with the quality as promised in the contract and within the project budget.
• Actively communicate project status, urge implementation through documents, reports issued or at meetings, emails, official dispatches, etc. regularly to the project participants to ensure the correct implementation of the project's expected goals.
• Responsible for managing and training the assigned consultants to ensure smooth project coordination and effective communication with all team members; distribution of project resources is managed in the most efficient manner.
• Specifically:
• a. Investment preparation stage:
• Support or directly perform the following tasks:
• Develop a project management implementation plan from the pre-investment stage and make a plan to coordinate the project participants.
• Develop the total project implementation schedule; manage, urge, adjust and update the progress implementation process
• Directly participate in the management of contractor selection consultancy
• Manage the coordination of design disciplines in the pre-construction phase
• Design management and design verification management stages
• Manage pre-project verification and approval procedures.
• Manage the application for approval from competent authorities such as: Construction permit / Fire protection / DTM environmental impact assessment / Technical infrastructure connection, ...
• b. Project implementation phase
• Responsible for managing and implementing the entire project during the construction phase.
• Directly guide and direct the project implementation team, implement the project's requirements according to the main goals of the project in terms of progress, quality, safety and cost.
• Work directly with the Board of Directors of the company, the investor and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted coordination of work activities throughout the project process.
• Checking and approving the submitted documents and project documents in accordance with the processes agreed between the project participants, in accordance with the legal order.
• Prepare to coordinate and chair relevant meetings in the project.
• Report to the Investor and the Company's Board of Directors periodically, updating the progress of the project.
• Responsible for managing internal costs to ensure that according to the budget assigned from the company.
• Guide the team or directly make reports at the request of the investor and under the contract.
• Project end stage
• Organize meetings to prepare for the closing phase of the project.
• Participating in the construction of operation management, maintenance - maintenance procedures of the company and handing over to the Investor
• Participate in the process of acceptance and finalization of capital when the project ends
• Besides the above tasks, the Project Director will also perform other tasks assigned by the Board of Directors.

• Graduated from universities majoring in Engineer in relevant disciplines (Metro, Railway, Rolling stock, ect..);
• Prefer candidates who have Master's degree or higher in relevant disciplines (Metro, Railway, Rolling stock, ect..);
• The expert has participated in contracts on certification of system safety related to urban railway projects as a similar/equivalent position ( at least 1 contract --> more contracts);
• At least 18 years of working experience, 05 years of experience in similar positions.
• Having experience and having directly participated in bidding consultancy, project management consulting at least one project.
• Having experience in making investment projects in the pre-project stage is a priority.
• Have good leadership skills, teamwork skills, communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure and can travel when required
