General Description

The QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality assurance and quality control processes during the SONG DOC Field Abandonment Program in Vietnam. The QA/QC Supervisor will have extensive experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, with a strong background in project management, quality control, and team leadership.

 

Tasks – Activities – Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance and control plans for the project, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Oversee the execution of quality control activities, such as inspections, testing, and monitoring, to identify and address any non-conformities or defects.
  • Manage a team of QA/QC inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of quality control services.
  • Collaborate with the project management team, engineering, and operations personnel to resolve quality-related issues and ensure the timely completion of the project.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality records, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions, and provide regular progress updates to the client.
  • Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and client communications to represent the QA/QC function and provide input on quality-related matters.
  • Ensure that all QA/QC activities are carried out in compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Our job performance is within the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, QHSE policy, Codes of Ethics and BV Group’s policies and procedures.

 

Candidate Profile

 

  • Professional bachelor's degree in Engineering, Welding, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, with at least 3 projects as a QA/QC Supervisor on projects involving well head platforms or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid Senior Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.2) or equivalent certification.
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with multinational corporations and applying English for all procedures and communication.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle construction/QA-QC-related challenges.
  • Excellent team management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and lead a team.
  • Valid health certificate with a "fit to offshore work" conclusion and a BOSIET certificate or equivalent.
