Senior E&I Inspector (Korean)

JOB PURPOSE:

-             Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes within the Viet Nam Block B Gas Project in accordance with and meet the required quality standards and specification to deliver the Project in Safely, Quality, Schedule and Productivity.

-             To act as the Senior Electrical Inspector to Manage and Responsible for all electrical work activities of assessing the electrical integrity of the process systems/equipment and verifying conformance to code specifications during detail engineering, pre-fabrication, fabrication, construction, installation and HUC of CPP, WHP/HUB.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure implementation of the Company’s Quality Policies, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies, Procedures and Quality Plans is to comply.
• Ensure that Project Quality, especially Electrical to be implemented and complied with Specification, Project Quality Plan, Procedure and National Regulation as well.
• Verify compliance with regulations, including hazardous area classifications (e.g., ATEX, IECEx).
• Participate in reviewing and approving Contractor/Vendor’s Electrical ITP, Electrical Installation and Preservation procedure, pre-commissioning procedure, FAT/SAT procedure, etc.
• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations, systems, and equipment.
• Supervise on-site electrical activities, ensuring proper installation, testing, and commissioning and system performance during commissioning to ensure functionality aligns with requirements.
• Provide support to Lead Electrical Engineer and Supervisor in review of Electrical System technical query, deviation and issue.
• Advise promptly the QA/QC Manager of any quality related problem, deviation or noncompliance.
• Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges for all relevant Electrical activities.
• Identify non-conformances or deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection and progress reports to document findings and actions taken.
• As a member of QA/QC Team and report directly to QA/QC Manager, QA/QC Lead and QA/QC Coordinator as well.
• Perform other duties that are assigned by QA/QC Manager, QA/QC Lead and Chief Inspector as well. 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

• Must hold a degree of Engineer in Electrical/Instrument Engineering or Equivalent. 
• Hold Certificates: IECEx (Personnel, Equipment and Services) by IEC or Equivalent.

Experience:

• Minimum of ten (10) years of professional working experience in the oil and gas industry, of which seven (07) years of experience relevant to the role and responsibilities such as Snr. Electrical/Instrument Inspector, Snr Electrical/Instrument Engineer or Equivalent.
• Involved in at least five (03) WHP/CPP/LQP during Detail Engineering, Vendor/Supplier, Fabrication, Testing, Installation and HUC for both Contractors and Clients.

Specific Knowledge:

• Familiar with power and distribution system (low voltage and high voltage), UPS, battery and charger/rectifier, transformer, instrument transformers (current transformers and voltage transformers), neutral earthing resistor, high voltage (HV) & low voltage (LV) switchgears, motor control center, lighting, lightning protection system, earthing system, electric heat tracing, fire alarm system, lighting illumination calculations, earthing calculation, tray layouts, schematics, wiring diagram, cable schedule, etc..
• Familiar with HAZOP, SIL Classification and Verification
• Sound knowledge of related regulations, codes and standards, particularly electrical requirements relating to hazardous areas and offshore systems., etc.
• Experience working with oversea Contractor, Vendor and Supplier are preferred.
• Good sense of team spirit leadership, coordination and communication skills in multi-cultural environment.
• Good computer skills (ACAD, 3D-Model, PDF, Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Good command in English (writing, listening and speaking)
