PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure implementation of the Company’s Quality Policies, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies, Procedures and Quality Plans is to comply.
- Ensure that Project Quality, especially Mechanical to be implemented and complied with Specification, Project Quality Plan, Procedure and National Regulation as well.
- Provide recommendations to enhance mechanical inspection programs deployment and performance.
- Participate in reviewing and approving Contractor/Vendor’s Mechanical and Piping ITP, Mechanical Installation and Preservation procedure, Hydrostatic Pressure Test Procedure, FAT/SAT procedure, etc.
- Overall supervision, monitor and witness and ensure that, all mechanical work of equipment and material at Vendor/Supplier and in filed inspection, installation and testing in accordance with latest AFC, approved Procedure and Specification.
- Provide support to Lead Mechanical Engineer and Supervisor in review of mechanical/equipment technical query, deviation and issue.
- Advise promptly the QA/QC Manager of any quality related problem, deviation or noncompliance.
- Work closely with Structure, Piping and commissioning Team to hand-over the integrity mechanical/equipment completion for commissioning.
- Interface, Communicate and Maintain close liaison with other Project Disciplines, Contractor, Vendor, Third Party for all relevant mechanical activities.
- Participate in the issue of Site Issue and Non-conformance Report include Disposition or Corrective Action and Preventive Action.
- Maintains good relationships with Contractor and Vendor but being strict to achieve the Project objectives.
- As a member of QA/QC Team and report directly to QA/QC Manager, QA/QC Lead and QA/QC Coordinator as well.
- Perform other duties that are assigned by QA/QC Manager, QA/QC Lead and Chief Inspector as well.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Must hold a degree of Engineer in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
- Familiar with Quality Assurance & Quality Control Systems.
- Hold Certificates: such "Precision Alignment Course Certificate", API SIFE/SIRE/SIEE, API 510., are advantage and CSWIP/AWS Welding and NACE/CSWIP-BGAS/ PROSIO are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional working experience in the oil and gas industry, of which ten (10) years of experience relevant to the role and responsibilities such as Snr. Mechanical Inspector, General Inspector or Equivalent.
- Involved in at least five (05) WHP/CPP/LQP include Infield Pipelines during Detail Engineering, Vendor/Supplier, Fabrication, Testing, Installation and Pre-commissioning for both Contractors and Clients.
Specific Knowledge:
- Knowledge in material, piping works, structure works, equipment work and not limited to Welding Inspection/Non- Destructive Testing and Painting inspection methods (If any).
- Familiar with static, rotating equipment installations and functions.
- Sound knowledge in and Conversant with International Codes and Standards such as AWS, ASME, BS EN, API, ASTM, DNV, NACE, ISO., etc.
- Experience working with oversea Contractor, Vendor and Supplier are preferred.
- Good sense of team spirit leadership, coordination and communication skills in multi-cultural environment.
- Good computer skills (ACAD, 3D-Model, PDF, Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Good command in English (writing, listening and speaking)
