We are seeking a Merger & Acquisitions Analyst to join our head office team.
àJob purpose:
Bureau Veritas is reaffirming its M&A ambition and is strengthening its Corporate M&A team to accelerate external growth. As part of the central M&A team, you will join an experienced and dynamic team at the heart of the strategy and with high visibility from top management and senior executives across the organization.
Under the supervision of M&A VPs, you will contribute to building M&A business cases, conducting financial valuations, and preparing materials for decision-making at M&A Committees.
àMain duties and responsibilities:
- Participate in the identification and evaluation of potential M&A opportunities by conducting market research and preliminary financial analysis, with our business experts.
- Support for M&A projects brought by Bureau Veritas local Operating Groups: critical review (rationale, BP, acquisition structure, financial analysis etc.) and coordination with various internal stakeholders
- Prepare financial models, target valuation (including discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions) and appropriate scenario analyses to support investment decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memos and other documentation for senior management and investment committee review.
- Coordinate and liaise with external advisors and internal cross-functional teams, along the various deal stages.
- Perform competitive intelligence with a specific focus on M&A activities in the company’s sector.
àJob Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of M&A experience in Investment Banking or Transaction Services team
- Team player, hands-on, agile, proactive, and forward thinking.
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
- Extensive experience with excel and presentation tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French.
